The good news are, those real ways exist and are at the grasp of many of us!

    Have you ever thought about running your own small business online? Probably not, because this very often involves spending large sums of money for starting it. What if I tell you that for most of us it is possible to run our own legal and legitimate business without spending any money at all, but still making profit? It is just a matter of knowing what, where and how.

  • Programar sistemas de trading con Visual Chart 4

    Visual Chart 4 es un programa de gran utilidad indispensable para cualquier inversor en bolsa que invierta en acciones o especialmente en futuros. Aunque no es el único programa de este tipo, Visual Chart es uno de los más conocidos en castellano.

    Quizás lo más útil del programa es la posibilidad de programar sistemas automáticos de inversión, que permiten al trader establecer una serie de condiciones y consecuencias de éstas para que luego, sin tener que estar todo el día delante del monitor, el programa envíe órdenes de compra y venta automáticamente. Esto también resulta muy interesante para eliminar el factor psicológico ‘impulso’ que todo trader tiene a menudo (en otras palabras, tomar decisiones precipitadamente). El programa, insensible a los factores psicológicos del trader, se limita a operar según las instrucciones que se le han dado previamente.

  • PHP: converting string into formatted date

    While coding I came across the following situation: a date which was showed with the format YYYY-MM-DD, but I wanted its format to be DD-MM-YYYY.

    Obviously there’s the PHP Date function, you will think, but the point here is that the initial date was a variable as string. Therefore using directly the date function did not work…luckily it is not difficult to find out how to get the desired results.

  • Adding custom fields to EventList

    One of the sites I was recently building uses EventList Joomla Component by Schlu. Despite it being a great tool, it does not allow (yet) a user-friendly system for adding custom fields, for instance in the venue submission screen or in the user signup page. It is possible however, according to their official forums, that a future release will have the option to add custom fields in easily from the backend.

    But right now, from the backend it is not possible.
